Your background?

My name is Elise Juhel, I am 30 years old. I spent 4 and a half years in a consulting firm specialising in data, and I now work on these topics with Bloomco.

Your latest Bloomco assignment?

I work for a CAC 40 group in consumer goods, helping the group roll out its data strategy across all its markets. They have around twenty markets, and I support the countries in deploying their data governance strategy locally.

Why did you choose to go independent?

‍The freedom to choose your topics, exactly as you wish. I much prefer long assignments, yet I still have the freedom to change topic regularly, which I find very interesting.

Would you recommend a friend go independent?

‍Absolutely, for that freedom to choose your topics, but also for the work-life balance. That said, if like me you want to feel part of a team, I would still favour relatively long assignments over very short ones: it keeps a team spirit and preserves the social bond you had as a permanent employee.

What does Bloomco bring you? 

Bloomco gave me a lot of support, especially at the start: insight into the market for independents, material to prepare for going independent, plenty of content on their blog and a great deal of guidance.

A final word?

We are only at the beginning of the Bloomco adventure, but I hope it continues, and I encourage every independent ready to take the leap to join the Bloomco adventure.
