Audit and optimisation of business processes within the controlling team

Amid strong growth in its business, the Controlling Digital Europe team put a new organisation in place. It was looking for a consultant to strengthen and optimise its processes and adapt them to the new business models.

A true business partner, Caroline provided analysis and recommendations to improve how the team works. She worked on 3 fronts:

• Audit of the existing set-up: documenting the system flows directly affecting the P&Ls, identifying the roles and responsibilities of key contacts, mapping all processes and flows.
• Risk analysis: identifying potential risks and putting an alert reporting mechanism in place.
• Optimisation: harmonising processes with the group's other entities, automating activities as far as possible, and contributing to the overhaul of the closing, forecast, margin steering and sales monitoring files.
